This
course is part of the complete pilot training
which includes more than 400 hours of ground
school instruction. It can also be taken by any
Pilot who does not hold an instrument rating or,
in a special abbreviated form, by Pilots who wish
to have a refresher on the latest instrument
procedures.
Navigation,
both by visual references and under instrument
conditions (IFR), is taught during the Ground
School course with emphasis on the correct
interpretation of maps, and the use of the most
modern airborne navigational aids as well as the
latest IFR procedures.
Part
of this instruction is provided in FRASCAsimulators. The complete IFR
training includes about 30 hours on simulators
and 40 hours in real flight, Including 5 hours of
night flying.
Aerocentro operates four FRASCAsimulators, two of which simulate
single engine piston powered aircraft, one a
piston powered twin engine and one a twin engine
turboprop.
